sweetness is there in every drop down to the dregs
and there are as many ways to taste it
as there are wings of birds.
But what about
just a little something different
here or there or there?
Just a pinch
not a pound
A sliver of sour apple,
a lick of bitter cocoa,
a bit of crusty sea salt,
a finger dipped
in hot and rich
umami coconut sauce?
O Sweetness, O Sweetness, let down your long hair!
What I will bring up that stair with me
I will ask only to share.
